Style: Lunch date with the family

After a VERY hectic holiday of weddings and Christmas and a trip to Scotland, I’m back off to uni. But I couldn’t leave without going for lunch at my favourite deli.

The t-shirt dress is always a good choice when your plans involve eating; even after my huge goats cheese salad and Italian pastry my food baby was completely hidden. This dress even did the trick on Christmas Day which is no mean feat. This outfit has become one of favourites over the holiday; it’s super casual and comfy but the boots add a little extra glam (honestly these boots are incredible, people stop me in the street to compliment them, thank you Topshop gods). It’s also very warm because of this insanely puffy Urban Outfitters coat and Topshop Hat. This coat kept me toasty in Scotland, there is nothing it can’t do. Obviously I can’t forget the mittens, I mean look at them. Not only are they sassy af but they are fleece lined, FLEECE. My hands have never felt warmer. Plus they add some much needed colour to this outfit. My little fluffy bag was a Christmas prezzie from my sis and now sis-in-law (yay) and it couldn’t be cuter. Just about fits my ridiculously huge pom-pom keyring.

Look at that GLOW, this was a day of perfect selfie lighting so I took full advantage…

Makeup-wise I kept this look pretty simple because a) it was only a casual lunch and b) I didn’t get up in time to do the full routine (mostly b). My skin and eyebrows were the same as in the Christmas Shopping and Cocktails Post except I used Born This Way foundation by Too Faced, the Porefessional primer by Benefit, MAC mineralize skin finish in starscapade to highlight and I think I used a blush from the Too Face Grand Hotel Cafe palette. I didn’t do much on the eyes, just a nude shimmery shadow from the Grand Hotel Cafe palette (don’t remember which one exactly) and layered on the They’re Real Mascara by Benefit. To add some extra colour I decided to go for a red lip; I used the Kylie Lip Kit in Kristen here. This is probably my favourite red lipstick of all time. There’s something about it that’s slightly different to all my other red lipsticks, can’t quite put my finger on what it is though.

I loved this outfit, the perfect comfy and casual but still pretty outfit. Hope you all like it too!
